Amongst the other Activities, Celebration of Durga Puja festivalin Matri Mandir is a landmark for the entire Bengali Community in the capital. Come Autumn, the atmosphere in Matri Mandir becomes full of festive fragrance which any Bengali family in Delhi can hardly afford to miss. Apart from this, Kali Puja, Jagaddhatri Puja, Saraswati Puja, Annapurna Puja, to name a few, are also celebrated annually when devotees from all walks of life participate. Besides, Satya Narayan puja, Amabasya Puja and Soni Puja are also celebrated every month.

Several Cultural and Recreational events are organized under the auspices of Matri Mandir, besides arranging spiritual discourses at frequent intervals. Running Charitable Homeopathic, Allopathy & Gynaecology clinics, rendering monetary assistance to hapless widows of Brindavan, maintaining an in-house Library with Reading Room facility, offering Special Tuition on selected subjects free of cost, running Music classes & Drawing Classes are other services of Matri Mandir Samity for benefit of the society. Of late, Matri Mandir have been organizing Free Medical Check – up Camps and Health Awareness Camps, especially keeping the Senior Citizens and Ladies in view.

:: Charitable Dispensary

The Matri Mandir Samity has been running a Charitable Homeopathic Dispensary in its premises for quite some time now, by experienced Doctors. (Timings: 11.30 am. - 1 pm / 07:00 pm to 08:00 pm - except Sundays and Holidays).

Besides, Allopathic Clinic has also been functioning successfully for last several years by a very senior and experienced Doctors who is available for Free consultancy on Tuesdays & Fridays at 08:00pm. Also Free Gynecological Consultancy is on Saturdays from 10 am.

Creation of Free Medical facilities had been the expectation of the local people for quite some time; more and more people are taking advantage of these services.

:: Library

The Matri Mandir Library and Reading room have become very popular in this locality. It has a collection of about 3000 books on various subjects, including Literature, Dramatics, Fiction etc. Its Membership is increasing day by day. It is open daily in the evenings from 7.00 to 9.00 p.m and on Sundays 11.00 a.m to 01.00 p.m. Everybody is welcome to use the Matri Mandir Library and Reading Room.

:: Scholarship

Matri Mandir Samity, for the last several years, has been granting Scholarships to the meritorious as well as economically weaker students of some selected Schools, on the basis of their previous board examination results and as per the recommendations of concerned School Principals.

The scholarship is named as “ Sudipto Ghosh Memorial Scholarship – administered by Matri Mandir Samity”.

Each selected School Principals are allotted a minimum amount of Rs.17,500/- in the beginning of every academic year for disbursement of scholarships as per following norms:

		For students of class XII who had passed class XI exam., Scholarship are granted at Rs.3,500/- to the topper in Science stream, Rs. 3,000/- for Commerce stream and Rs. 2,500/- for the Humanities stream of each school.
		First 3 toppers, who had passed class X Board exam, in respective schools are granted Rs. 2,000/- each.
		Besides, an amount of Rs. 2,500/- is also granted to the respective School Principals for disbursement amongst needy students, for purchase of books, uniform materials etc.
		However, our aim is to give more scholarships by including more schools and more students to encourage their studies. This will only be possible if suitable donors come forward and help us by donating.
