MATRI MANDIR SAMITY - A RELIGIOUS, CHARITABLE & SOCIO CULTURAL ORGANIZATION

The MATRI MANDIR SAMITYin Safdarjung Enclave - New Delhi, is a realization of a common dream to build a place of worship and indulge in Charitable, Social and Cultural activities for benefit of the society. People from all walks of life have been participating in its activities in various ways to make it a leading Religious-cum-Charitable -cum-Socio Cultural organization in Delhi. The Samity maintains a Temple complex and a Dharamshala in the Mandir premises.

Matri Mandir Samity is a society registered on the 13th June 1966 under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 (Punjab Amendment Act 1957) as extended to the Union Territory of Delhi vide Regn. No: S-3039 of 1966-67.

The affairs of the Matri Mandir Samity is governed by a MANAGING COMMITTEEcomprising of 33 Members, elected from amongst the members of the Samity. At the last General Body Meeting held on 12th July 2009, Mr. Parimal Bhattacharya was elected as the President of Matri Mandir Samity and Mr. Swapan Chakravorty as General Secretary for the term 2009- 2011

		In the Temple complex, idols of MAA KALI , LORD SHIVA and LAKSHMI NARAYAN are installed, where daily pujas and various RITUALS are held by highly educated (Sanskrit Scholars) and competent priests;

		The DHARMASHALA at the Mandir complex provides comfortable and hygienic accommodation to the boarders/ visitors;

		The Samity also arranges sight seeing tours for the convenience of boarders at the Dharmashala.

		Meal arrangements are also available at the Dharmashala

		Periodic recreational, social and cultural events, including religious discourses and Health Clinics, are organized at the Mandir complex for the benefit of devotees

		Several SUB-COMMITTEES are constituted to pay specialized attention on various aspects for smooth running of the organization as a part of Management Policy.
